Skill Level Requirements...
Students must know the 4 firearm safety rules and must be able to adhere to them to a fault.
This is not a first time beginner course. Students must have some previous experience.
If you have no previous experience we suggest taking a 1 on 1 private course with our instructor prior to signing up for this course.
We require a minimun of 4 students for this class. If the 4 student minimum is not met, all paid bookings will have their paid fee credited to their Middletown Training account to be used toward another class, private 1 on 1 training or range time of their choosing.
Taking this course is required in order to take our Handgun Skills Development II course
Primary Focus
This course is designed for the Novice to Intermediate shooter.
Emphasis on SKILL BUILDING is this course objective. Learning how to effectively apply the fundamentals is key in a shooters progression. We will go step by step through the curriculum teaching the student ways to apply the fundamentals and how to self-diagnose your shooting.

Open Mind and a Focused Positive Attitude
Working Semi-Auto Pistol (Full Sized Preferred)
Two (2) Magazines (more is better) & at least 1 Magazine pouch. Use of pockets for additional mags is ok.
350 rounds of ammunition minimum (welcome to bring more)
Eye and Ear Protection (prescription are okay)
Brimmed hat and closed toe shoes or boots.
Closed neck shirts are recommended.

Please dress for the weather. We train rain or shine. During times of heavy snow or lightning we will break or possibly reschedule.
**For this class a sturdy OUTSIDE the waistband holster is required. Types of gear or equipment NOT ALLOWED due to safety reasons: Holsters such as cross draw, soft collapsible, shoulder, Blackhawk Serpa, behind the back, and ankle. If you are unsure, please contact instructor with questions. **
