Red Dot Pistol 1

Skill Level Requirements

This course is for novice to intermediate shooters that know the four firearms safety rules and can adhere by them to a fault.

(Taking this Red Dot Pistol 1 course is suggested in order to take our more advanced Red Dot Pistol II Course at a later date)

We require a minimun of 4 students for this course. If the 4 student minimum is not met all paid bookings will have their paid fee credited to their Middletown Training account to be towards another class, 1 on 1 training or range time of their choosing.

Course Primary Focus...

To equip each student with knowledge and skills that will allow them to succesfully Utilize a Red Dot sight on their handgun.This course focuses on the effective use of handguns equipped with dot sighting systems. It covers topics such as sight alignment, target aquisition and shooting techniques specific to dot sighting systems. Participants learn how to maximize accuracy and speed using this modern sighting system. We breakdown each individual skill and apply shooting drills that directly apply to that skill to give a solid foundation for each student to progress with their red dot pistol.

What to bring

What to Bring:
Open Mind and a Focused Positive Attitude
Working Semi-Auto Pistol (Full Sized Preferred) with red or green dot optic
Two (2) Magazines & at least 1 Magazine pouch
400 rounds of ammunition minimum (welcome to bring more)
Eye and Ear Protection
Brimmed hat and closed toe shoes or boots.
Closed neck shirts are recommended.
Notepad and Pen
Drinks/Snacks

Please dress for the weather. We train rain or shine. During times of heavy snow or lightning we will break or possibly reschedule.

**For this class a sturdy outside the waistband holster is required. Types of gear or equipment NOT ALLOWED due to safety reasons: Holsters such as cross draw, soft collapsible, shoulder, Blackhawk Serpa, behind the back, and ankle. If you are unsure, please contact instructor with questions. **
